100th Anniversary Scholarship
Who?
A graduating female student attending Haliburton Highlands Secondary School (HHSS) who will be going on to post-secondary education. The recipient must show proof of registration at a university or college.
What?
One $1000 scholarship for a full-time HSAD female student
When?
Opens October 31, 2018 and closes at midnight April 30, 2019
Why?
The $1000 scholarships is being awarded as part of the Canadian Federation of University Women Haliburton Highlands (CFUW-HH) club’s celebration of the Canadian Federation of University Women’s 100th Anniversary.
Where?
The successful candidate will be awarded the scholarships at the June 6, 2019 CFUW-HH general meeting. Alternate arrangements will be made if the successful candidate is not available. An announcement regarding the award and the successful candidates will be submitted to the local print media.

1. Complete an essay on one of the three following topics:
- A notable Haliburton County woman
- A woman who is making a difference today
- Moving women’s rights forward

2. Submit the pdf essay document by midnight April 30, 2019 using the submission form below. (You will be required to provide your contact information, indicate confirmation of and agreement with specified application rules, and upload your essay. All required fields must be completed before the application form will allow submission.)

CRITERIA FOR ESSAY EVALUATION
Essays will be evaluated by the CFUW-HH 100th Anniversary Scholarship committee and will be based on the following, but not limited to:
